Thanks for your reviews and comments on gigs, songs/albums, songbook and website. They now have a page of their own - see Reviews etc. February 2010 Website Jimmy and Val have done a great job here with the website. Everyone’s been telling me how good it is. Thanks for that. Gigs I had a great trip away playing at Faversham and Redbourn. Christine Connolley who wrote January Morning which I recorded on the 'It’s A Cover Up' CD came to Redbourn and joined me for 'Sing A Chorus With Me' at the end of the night . That was a bit special and great songs too from Bill Redway at the break. No sooner had I got back home then it was soon out the door to Leigh Folk On Friday and a full house of great singers. I did a Bono impersonation at the end and phoned J&V who wrote 'One More Song' so they could hear the audience in fine voice. Don’t know if I’ll do it again as it’s bit pretentious but it was fun. Left is the front cover of Anthony John's new songbook, due for release in January 2010. 50 songs with lyrics, tunings and chord shapes, plus some photos - all in a handy A5 size, wirobound so you can open it flat while playing the songs. October 2009 This video was filmed by Terry Ferdinand at Cramlington Folk Club on 27 October. The song is a new one, called 'Afternoon In August'.
